Walking Tour and Public Workshop #2
July 11, 2018
The Project Team led a walking tour within the Uptown Canandaigua Corridor. Participants gathered at Blue Heron Park and traveled to five stops throughout the 1.5-mile walk. Each of the stops included discussions on topics including mixed-use development, gateway improvements, industrial preferences, streetscape preferences, and intersection enhancements. Immediately following the walking tour, a public workshop took place in the Liberty Apartments Community Building. The interactive activities and stations allowed for attendees to share their feedback about the future of Uptown Canandaigua.
Public Workshop #1
March 14, 2018
The Town of Canandaigua and the consultant team (Bergmann, Camoin Associates, and Steinmetz Planning Group) led a public workshop with the intent of introducing the study to the public and allowing opportunity for input and comment. The project team provided a brief overview of project components, described preliminary findings and presented emerging themes for the Uptown Area. Attendees also participated in an interactive visioning session, which allowed them to express their perceptions of the Uptown Canandaigua Corridor today and how they would like it to evolve into the future.
